Meet Our Presenters

Learning Reading Program. Aimee teamed with K-12 educators from Fremont School for the Deaf to introduce ASL literacy modules into special education D/HH classrooms. As a parent of a child on the spectrum; she comes with experience and a heart for working with D/HH+ children. This has further motivated her to source materials to make language and learning more visual and accessible.

Aimee completed a specialized ITP- PINeS (Program for Interpreters in Educational Setting) at Palomar Community College in San Diego in 2006. This unique program centered solely on the preparing, educating and testing of interpreters in a K-12 setting. She is a certified member of RID earning her ED: K-12 certification and EIPA assessment 4.0+  for Elementary/ Secondary education and E.S.S.E assessment 4.0+ ASL, SEE and PSE.

She is excited to join the ACCESS team as an Educational Interpreter coordinator and is looking forward to working together with students, parents, school site staff and interpreters to provide better, full access to our students and support for their families.
